Adaptation of The Princess Bride

How many people know about the book?

Yes,”The Princess Bride” has an actual book, not just the one shown in the movie, (although, that’s probably an actual copy of it) and it actually has a lot more in it, but I wouldn’t call the movie an “adaptation” of the book because in many ways they are two separate entities and can thusly exist quite well as such. I mean, you do not need to read the book to see the movie and watching the movie is much different than reading the book (take it from some one who has) so it makes no difference which one you have had experience with or what you like better.

Really, what makes it the most different from your typical adaptations is the scriptwriter and the author for the book are one and the same; William Goldman. This adds to the fact that it’s not really an adaptation but really partly how the author wanted his book to be in a film version.
