Album reviews: The Hits, by Faith Hill
Ok, I am not a huge fan of albums that showcase an artist previous hits for several reasons. The biggest reason being present in Faith Hills case is the fact that she has only released Six studio albums and in my view not nearly enough to startpackaging a Album called The Hits. Faith Hill undoubtedly is a fantastic singer and surely she has enough original material to where she could have gave us an entire album of new music.
Hit albums are a lazy way to make some bucks and while the album did contain two new tracks, Iwould rather to goon the internet and pay only for the new tracks rather than a whole album of music I have already heard. I can see hit albums from artists like Elvis Presley and even Prince or Michael Jackson but from Faith Hill, come on Faith give us something new. I am not even convinced that Faith’s best songs were even showcased on “The Hits” album in the first place.
The track listing for Faith Hill’s “The Hits” is as follows:
1. Red Umbrella
2. Stronger – (Live)
3. Lost
4. Mississippi Girl
5. Cry
6. There You’ll Be
7. Way You Love Me, The
8. Breathe
9. Secret Of Life, The
10. Let Me Let Go
11. This Kiss
12. It Matters To Me
13. Piece Of My Heart
14. Wild One
15. I Need You – (with Tim McGraw)
I can state I do enjoy the track Red Umbrella, very catchy and a definite Faith Hill upcoming hit. I would have enjoyed to see a full album of more music like this. The one good thing about this album release is that it comes with DVD; Digipak. The DVD offers Faiths videos for the following songs:
