It is sad for me to have learned that by the end of this title, a major character would have died. (suspense)
My opinion is that after roaming through six of the titles till now, even if it is improving content-wise, the storyline is certainly not getting any fresher.
This title seems to look for real-world parallels to go along along with. Let me give an example.
Right at the start, the title’s first paragraph points towards the “wretched” president of “a far-distant country” depicting what some Britons harbor towards the Bush administration. Frequent references are also pointed to the increased security measures at Hogwarts, and the unwarranted imprisonment of innocent civilians.
Deeper themes can be discovered – nature of love and free will. The scene which I like best was when Dumbledore tells Harry that, “You are protected by your ability to love.” It simply means that human tenderness is what separates Harry from Evil. Simple words, but deep meaning within.
The brooding storyline, compiled with teenage angst that shows in “Prince” may not be suitable for young readers.
