Just when you think they cannot get any more annoying, any more money for doing nothing, celebrities are at it again. You cannot walk into a department store, watch TV or read a magazine without seeing the celebrity ads for fragrances. It seems more and more celebrities are building their empires simply by putting their names on products.

And that’s what is hot right now. Celebrity fragrances, while I am sure they wear their scents for press junkets, most celebrities already have a scent of their own that they wear and love. I really don’t see this as being a long term fad. There are too many celebrities involved now. Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyonce, Britney, Diddy, J-Lo, Celine Dion and even the Olsen twins.

Just like the perfume they’re hawking, the trend of celebrity fragrance will fade out over time.
