Dead movie stars you miss

Dead movie stars you miss

Curling up on the sofa, with a huge bowl of popcorn, a soft drink on the end table, and a good horror movie on the TV, has always been one of my favorite late evening pastimes. I think Stephen King is the ideal horror writer of all time, but he’s still alive so he does not count in this article, but I wanted to tell you about him anyway.

Elvis Presley was well known for his gyrating hips, his sexy good looks, and wonderful singing voice. His singing turned women on whenever they saw him. He was the King of Rock and Roll. He turned most of his songs into movies, and everyone flooded the aisles of the Movie Theatres all over the country. A few of his more popular movies include, Love Me Tender, 1956, Jail House Rock, 1987, Girls, Girls, Girls, 1962, Viva Las Vegas, 1964. His early death in 1977 was tragic to us all. I think every woman swooned, when they watched his movies that took place on the beaches, I know I did, he was soooo sexy.

Betty Davis was known for her roles in horror movies way back when. Her looks portrayed evil in whatever role she played. Everyone knows the saying, “she has Betty Davis eyes” because of the way she would look at you, and you would cringe in fear. She stared in some of the best horror movies you ever saw back in the 50′s and 60′s, she was made for the parts she played. I never really knew how she could make her eyes look so evil, even when she was not in the movies, I guess it was just the way they were set in her face.. I saw her on a speak show a long time ago, I don’t even remember which speak show it was anymore, and she still had that evil look in her eyes. Her role in “Hell’s House” in 1932 was terrific. She played along side of Pat O’Brien, Emma Dunn, Junior Durkin, Junior Coughlin, Wallis Clark, and a few other great stars, and it was nothing short of spectacular. She also stared in “Of Human Bondage” in 1934, along with Charles Coleman, Frances Dee, Alan Hale, Kay Johnson, among others. She was in so many terrific movies, and in Every oneof them, her eyes made her look downright evil.

John Candy was known for his comedy. If you saw that he was playing a lead role, you could be assured that you were in for a good laugh. He never did as well with a more serious image, as he did in his comedy roles. His movies showed him in so many ridiculous predicaments, and the ways in which he got out of those predicaments were even funnier. He shone on the huge screen. His Largesize was the cause
