How to choose the right shade for your highlights

Highlighted Ponytail

Makeup and hair go hand and hand. When you have your hair highlighted you may need to add a more dark or richer color to your palette, one in which you were not used to or never considered before.

You don’t have to do anything drastic but with anything you’ve toThink about does the color that you choice now wash you out, or does it bring out your hidden color?

If it brings our a more vibrant color and warmth to you, then you may only have to adjust your lipstick color, or you may just need to even out the colors your using. If you are washed out then you need to add some color go with a richer darker palette of colors. Don’t be afraid to experiment.

Remember though makeup should only be used to enhance what you already have. You don’t want to look like a freak sporting a rainbow of colors. If you’re in doubt about which colors look best on you with your new hair color then you need to go and book an appointment either with a cosmetologist or at your local departments stores make up section.

The people working in the makeup counters are trained to give facials and assist with picking out colors. I have never done one of these but I do know of many people who have.

A new hair do and a new color is so exciting. You should want to look your ideal show off what it can do for you. Color is such an important part of all of our lives. When you get a new hairdo you want to feel good about yourself and if something doesn’t feel right such as your makeup or wardrobe it can make you feel bad about what you got done. So take the time and try out different looks and get happy with that new hairdo.
