Imagining the reality of fantasy relationships with famous people

Dating a famous person is not that much different from dating the regular everyday individual. Sure they may have more possessions than most but in reality they are just the same as everybody else only they’re in the public eye. For many that’s the total reason for dating a famous person. The idea of public perception of their partner being famous is enough to make the relationship exciting. The problem with this is that in the beginning it is exciting, once the relationship becomes serious it often becomes a burden.

Many people believe mistakenly that fame provides comfort and luxury. While this may be true the price paid is often times not worth the aggravation and lost privacy. In our youth we are caught up in the ideas of unlimited wealth and public perception being high. With age comes the wisdom that privacy is also a valuable commodity. In the end most famous people would give anything to be a regular person at some point in their lives. Therefore public perception should not be a reason to get involved with someone. You will have to learn how to become public figure yourself. It also means sharing your partner with the entire universe around the clock. People in performance professions are always recognized in public and many times do not have the capability to enjoy it.

Certainly, fame offers a certain level of security. At the same time however, it also offers other levels of discomfort. You never quite can predict if a crazy fan will approach you for no reason. Also it is very common that photographers and reporters will become regular entries into the basic structure of your life. Dating any famous person requires significant emotional and mental preparation. You will become the public figure that your partner is whether youenjoy itor not. Some people who never met you before will act as though they know everything about your life. Everything you do and state will reflect on your partner. You must develop a thick skin in relation to gossip spread about your partner. Otherwise you’ll not survive the famous lifestyle. You will also be subject to the ever-changing schedule of a celebrity. Planning ahead for special occasions is merely impossible.

When two famous people get together there is often competition within one household as to who holds the stronger public standing. This can take a negative toll on the relationship. It can be very difficult tobalance support when one partner is doing well and the other is struggling for attention. The strength of these relationships is hard to maintain because the famous individual is always having to serve others outside of the marriage. Also this can negatively affect the stress level of the individual in the public eye and do damage to the relationship. Regular people do not often comprehend the demands it takes to become a celebrity and are not prepared the sacrifices necessary to make such a relationship work. These relationships can work but the odds are not in favor of it.
