Movie reviews: Because I Said So

So, I totallywent to see “Because I Said So” the other night. I was so not interested in seeing the movie, even thoughDiane Keaton is one of my favorite actresses. But… I have to tell you it was great, it was aTiny like “The Other Sister” meets “Failure To Launch”. You have Diane Keaton as this total nut job Motherwho is totallyoverbearing(kind of like my own Motherwho drug me to this movie) trying to control her youngest daughter’s life(like The Other Sister) and looks for a man for her daughter(played by Mandy Moore) on the internet. Now, if you have ever seen Mandy Moore, that girl should have no problems getting a date. But of course mother feels she can pick out THE ONE. While she’s interviewing all of these men at a restaurant that has a live band, one of the musicians notices what is going on. The musician, played by Gabriel Macht(has to be the hottest new guy I have seen on the massive screen in a very long time, I believe he’s the next Matthew McCaunaghey or Brad Pitt) informs mother that her choice is wrong and that she should give him a chance. Mom, on the other hand feels he’s not worthy of her daughter because of his appearance. So, the rest of the movie is all about daughter dating The One and the musician who casually bumps into her on the street. There are some very funny parts(like pee your pants funny) and it is a feel good motion picture about relationships. It’s not Oscar material but if you’re looking for a good motion picture to see with a girlfriend or mom I totallyrecommend this movie, even the guys in the audience laughed.
